Terms & Conditions of Mandarin Order.com & Mandarin-Oriental.co.uk
1. These terms supersede all previous agreements.
2. Gift and loyalty vouchers have a non-redeemable cash value. Value at time of presentation to MandarinOrder.com or Mandarin-Oriental.co.uk, not at time of voucher purchase. This negates any fluctuations in international exchange rates.
3. We do not accept liability for damage or injury through misuse of products purchased.
4. NO PAYMENTS WILL BE TAKEN FROM YOUR CREDIT CARD UNLESS THE ITEM IS AVAILABLE and READY FOR DISPATCH.
5. Customers are required to notify us within three working days of any shortages or damages to their deliveries. Any notification's after this time cannot be dealt
with as insufficient time will be afforded to us to investigate the claim. Any customer requesting goods to be left safe are accepting full liability and cost of goods
and no claim can be brought to MandarinOrder.com or Mandarin-Oriental.co.uk for missing or partially delivered items.
6. Where parcels are delivered by courier, if the outer packaging is visibly damaged, the customer is requested to sign for the goods stating that the parcel was
damaged. This will not affect customers statutory rights to a reasonable opportunity to examine the goods contained.
7. Designs and colour schemes may vary due to the manufacture and/or dye process of some items from time to time. Colour images on the website may differ from those of
any item due to variabilities, such as monitor settings, graphic card display modes etc.
8. Refusal of goods at the time of delivery will result in full postal charges being incurred by the customer. This includes sending back to source, except where a 7
day cooling off period is applicable.
9. Items such as ear rings are non refundable due to risks to health and hygiene, but this does not effect your statuary rights..
10. Investigation of missing or delayed parcels will be pursued through normal channels before compensation is considered.
11. Where an item is to be returned where the customer is not at fault, postage reimbursement is limited in respect of the returned parcel.
12. Under the Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994, we will always offer a refund, exchange, credit note or repair service where goods are not of satisfactory quality, fit
for their purpose or have been purposely mis-described. Colours and tones cannot be guaranteed due to individual computer and monitor specifications.
13. Credit Card refunds are discretionary and are based upon circumstances of each case. Customers will receive credit notes on all other occasions. This does not
affect your statutory rights.
14. Goods are subject to availability. We reserve the right to alter specifications and/or products without notification within reason.
15. Third party cheques are not accepted.
15b Dollar and Euro conversion rates on the Roman Cart shopping cart are approximate. No commission will be added to your purchase using Roman Cart, online purchases, or telephone credit cad orders to, or through, either MandarinOrder.com or Mandarin-Oriental.co.uk.
16 An administration charge will be applicable (minimum of £10) at the discretion of the company where necessary e.g. account information for insurance purposes, tax,
solicitor etc (not inc. p&p)
17. Any charges incurred in respect of bounced cheques, i.e. returned or represented, will be passed to the customer, this is subject to a minimum charge of £10 per
bounced cheque or incomplete transaction if the prospective customer is the cause.
18. The title in all goods will remain the property of Mandarin Order.com / Mandarin-Oriental.co.uk until such time as payment is received in full.
19. Prices are subject to alteration without prior notice.
20. The customer has no right to exchange or refund in respect of Videos, Books, DVD's or CD's unless defective, not fit for its purpose or not as described. Any
exchange will be for an identical title to be negotiated with the customer.
21. No custom, special or sale item will be accepted for refunds or exchanges unless faulty.
22. Back ordered goods will be dispatched as soon as possible and will not incur additional postal charges. Unless otherwise states back ordered items will be
dispatched by Royal Mail or other reputable carrier, at our discretion.
23. The customer will be entitled to a cooling off period of 7 working days after having received the goods or at any time prior to receiving goods, the cancellation
should be notified in writing (includes fax or email). Cancellation does not apply to DVD's CD's audio or video tapes which the customer has unsealed. The cost of
returning the product unless faulty, defective or not fit for its purpose will be at the customer's expense (Retail Only).
24. Please note that courier charges may be applicable where customers require goods to be re-directed to an alternate address or where a further delivery attempt has
to be made by the courier when the customer has been unavailable to accept the goods.
25. Customers should be aware that we do not operate on a sale or return basis. This does not effect your statutory rights.
26. On request we maybe able to provide a next day delivery service (Inland only, excluding highlands of Scotland). If placed before 12:30pm Monday to Friday your order should arrive the next working day (excluding public holidays and in circumstances permitting). If your order is placed on the weekend and you have requested a next day delivery
service your order will arrive on Tuesday.
27. Returns can not be processed on a weekend in the shop.
28. After leaving the online shop, please check your order is confirmed later via an e-mail via RomanCart.com or mandarinorder.com.
29. Please note we can not accept the return of certain garments if the stitching has been removed.
30. If you wish to return large and heavy items please contact the manager first.
31. If a card has been left at a delivery premises, failure to act upon the card will result in a re-delivery charge (where applicable).

33. Please note that it is required by law to supply an official copy of either your passport, drivers licence or birth certificate proving you are over the age of 18
years old for orders containing goods which the law requires.
34. Please note that larger items, such as Chinese furniture, have their own postal rates.
35. The retail customer will be entitled to a cooling off period of 7 working days after having received the goods or at any time prior to receiving goods as our our
terms and conditions. This excludes DVDs, videos, books and special offer items. If an item of clothing has been worn this negates this agreement.
36. All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable unless stated otherwise.
37. Force majeure: Where, in spite of its reasonable efforts, MandarinOrder.com ( Mandarin-Oriental.co.uk ) is unable to perform an obligation due to circumstances
beyond its reasonable control, it shall not be deemed to be in breach of its contract with the Customer.
38. Where shipping costs are incurred items will be usually be sent by Royal Mail or other reputable carrier. Royal Mail’s terms and conditions as stated under
www.royalmail.com concerning delivery promises and insurance allowances.
39. The customer will be responsible for any local taxes that are enforced in that country. MandarinOrder.com and Mandarin-Oriental.co.uk takes no responsibility for these extra charges. If you are unsure, please contact your local tax or revenue office before placing your order.
40. Please note that not all of the above terms will be applicable to business agreements.
